Kindess: Random acts of it
44 weeks ago, (thank you Instagram for providing that timeline), we were inspired by the #RAOK or Random Acts of Kindness Movement. It was Shelby of @s_isforsnailmail that first introduced us to this wonderful concept. She sent each of us a postcard (we did not yet know her) as two of her many random acts of kindness. The gesture was heartfelt and an incredibly welcome surprise. We wanted to reciprocate the feeling so we embarked on a week long Instagram campaign of thanking strangers, friends, and fellow makers for their kindness.
We announced our campaign with the definition of Kindness laid out in the style of our only definition card at that time, magnificent. We thanked the Postman, three friends, two fellow makers, and ended with a smile giveaway in a park nearby Isabel’s house.
We’ve shared each of our Instagram posts below.
The campaign was so well received by our community that we were encouraged to make the kindness design into a card. We are grateful and proud to say this is now one of our best sellers!
Each and every one of you who buys this card and sends it out into the world continues to inspire us. The recipients are very lucky to have you in their lives.
This brings us to one customer who is in the process of using this card to send out 100 gratitudes. That’s right, she is reaching out to 100 people and thanking each one of them. We will share an interview with this inspiring customer in our next post!
